Jawline Slimming (Masseters)

Large jaw muscles (masseters) can often present with an unwanted square/bulky appearance to the jawline. These muscles are involved in chewing and closing the jaw. Anti-wrinkle injections with Botulinum toxin Type A are used. When injected using a fine needle into the target muscle, it works by temporarily blocking the nerve signal and as a result weakens the masseter muscle action. This muscle weakening over time helps to shrink the masseter muscle and therefore resulting in a slimmer more aesthetically looking jawline.

Due to Dr Ricky’s light-handed technique and use of a very fine needle discomfort should be minimal albeit a minor stinging sensation.

Normally most people start to notice a result after 5 days with a near full result by 14 days. However Botulinum toxin can take up to 30 days to fully work.

Typically results can last from 3-4 months for some people this can be longer.
