What does the treatment involve?

Anti-wrinkle injections with Botulinum toxin Type A are used. When injected using a fine needle into the target muscles along the jawline and neck area, it works by temporarily blocking the nerve signal and as a result weakens the muscle action. This muscle weakening helps to improve the appearance of the neck lines, bands and wrinkles. Therefore ensuring a more toned, smoother neck along with a lifted jawline.

Is it painful?

Due to Dr Ricky’s light-handed technique and use of a very fine needle discomfort should be minimal albeit a minor stinging sensation.

When can I go back to work/normal activities?

There is normally no downtime and you can return to work and carry out normal activities straight away. Dr Ricky will explain the relevant aftercare post the procedure to ensure a sustained excellent outcome.

Normally most people start to notice a result after 5 days with a near full result by 14 days. However Botulinum toxin can take up to 30 days to fully work.
