PRP Facial in Stratford-Upon-Avon
PRP Facial, also known as the Vampire Facial, is a natural and regenerative skin treatment that uses your own blood plasma to repair and rejuvenate the skin.
At Cosmedica Skin, this advanced treatment is carried out by Dr Ricky, an NHS GP with over a decade of medical experience and specialist training in medical aesthetics.
The result is healthier, brighter and more youthful skin achieved through a completely natural process.
What Is A PRP Facial?
PRP contains a high level of quality platelets. Platelets are best known in the blood clotting process however when injected into the skin they release several growth factors and stimulate stem cell formation. These growth factors and stem cells are essential for skin healing and repair.
During the natural ageing process there is a loss of collagen and elastin in the skin. As a result, this leads to the formation of skin wrinkles, sagging, poor skin tone and texture. PRP treatment is a natural treatment which can help to rejuvenate the skin and aid reversal of the ageing process. It does this as the platelets injected from your own blood release several growth factors which stimulate the growth of new blood vessels and collagen over the days and weeks following treatment.
Those who prefer a natural looking appearance using a natural treatment are recognising PRP as the way forward in helping to rejuvenate their skin’s texture and tone whilst reversing the ageing process.
Benefits of a Blood/ “Vampire Facial” also known as PRP treatment
- Improved skin texture and tone
- Increased skin thickness
- Reduction in dark circles (tired look) especially the under eye area
- Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles due to ageing
- Hydrates the skin providing a natural skin glow
- Reduction of scars (acne and stretch marks)
At Cosmedica Skin we are proud to use the most advanced PRP specialised system on the market. Cellenis® PRP therapy provides a higher concentration of Platelet Rich Plasma which is 3-4 times stronger than an average PRP therapy treatment.
PRP Process
A sample of your own blood is taken (like a normal blood test) in an anti-coagulation tube with separation gel. This tube is then centrifuged for 10 minutes in the state-of-the-art Cellenis® PRP system used at Cosmedica Skin.
The Cellenis® PRP system will then separate the unwanted red blood cells and pro-inflammatory granulocytes from the desired Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). Cellenis® PRP is then injected into the areas of the skin requiring treatment.
PRP uses your own blood therefore making it a natural treatment to help rejuvenate your skin and aid reversal of the ageing process.
What We Do
At Cosmedica Skin, PRP facials are performed using the state-of-the-art Cellenis® PRP system, which produces a higher concentration of platelets up to 3–4 times stronger than standard PRP treatments.
Dr Ricky begins each session with a full medical consultation to understand your skin concerns and goals. The treatment involves drawing a small amount of blood, spinning it in the centrifuge to extract PRP, and carefully injecting it into key areas of the face.
